On March 15, the Northview NASA Student Launch Team hope to see you out at Timberstone Junior High School. At this event you will learn about NASA’s future missions and what they are currently working on. We will teach you about rockets and the four forces of flight and then how those forces relate to the fins. Proceeding that lesson, we will then use the 2 liter bottles that you guys brought and use them as a water rocket. The time this takes will depend on how many scouts show up to the event. Then we will have our TARC team, which is a team of juniors, do a test launch of their rocket. For the final activity of the event we will show you our 10 foot rocket and each scout will be allowed to ask any questions they have for our team. Questions can be about anything regarding NASA or the competition! We hope, and are counting on the scouts to come with a positive attitude, an open mind and a ton of questions! The scouts can wear whatever they would like but if they wear any apparel with NASA on it, they will receive an award! Look forward to seeing all of you.
EACH SCOUT WILL NEED AN EMPTY 2 LITER BOTTLE.
Please let the team know if you are attending the event so that we can have enough supplies for the activity.
