Best Design went to Alexander B. of Den 3 for his awesome Killer Whale car.

A hearty congratulations to all the boys and siblings who took the time to build their cars and show up to race.  The finalists are invited to our District Race on April 21st in Shingle Springs.  This is also the day of our Hornet Trip, but it looks like families should be able to attend both without much stress.

Thanks to all the parents who helped out with setup and tear down.

]]> http://pack97.org/2011/11/veterans-day-parade/feed/ 0 November 1st Pack Meeting http://pack97.org/2011/10/november-1st-pack-meeting/ http://pack97.org/2011/10/november-1st-pack-meeting/#comments Tue, 25 Oct 2011 20:37:43 +0000 Jake Burkart http://pack97.org/?p=101 Please join us on November 1 at 7:00pm at the Carl Sundahl multi-purpose room for a special pack meeting.  We will be doing an Arrow of Light and Bridging ceremony for the Webelos II boys.  This will be a good meeting for the younger scouts to come to since the Arrow of Light is the highest honor they can earn as Cub Scouts.  They will be able to see what all their hard work is going toward.  The boys will also get to see older scouts Bridge to Boy Scouts.  We will have a slide show of activities the Webelos II have done since they were Tigers.  We will also have a table displaying some of the projects we have done, so the younger can boys can see what they have to look forward to.

We will end the meeting with cake for everyone.  We hope you can join us for this special night.

I enjoyed seeing the rockets lined up on the table – many colors, different tailfins and stickers – all beautiful!

Big Thank You to Gregg Wyant running the Pack Rocket activity. Boys and parents loved it!! Thank you to all parents who bought salads and desserts to share. All yummy and delicious food. Thanks to Charles and Rick for cooking. Sorry that we had long food lines. Thanks to Jake for food purchases. Thanks to Andrew for making more lemonade, Meg for updating the email and phone list, Victor who brought more ice. Also glad we got the pavilion area (first come first served).

You can also turn in your Take-Order forms to Jane by Friday October 14th.  Or bring them to Jake at Golden Valley Charter School on Friday the 14th.

Also feel free to scan or snap a picture and just email it to me.

November 12th or 13th is when the Popcorn will arrive.

November 18th Final Payment Due to Council.

Remember, the most important task is to HAVE FUN!  So go out and enjoy spending time with your Cub Scout!
